By placing an order, you are stating that you have read, understand and agree to the terms of the sale as stated on this page. Please take a moment to read the information here. Thank you!!
If you are purchasing a resin from me or may do so in the future, it is vital that you sign up for TabaskeauStudioNews!!! All important updates on resins, shipping etc. will be announced via the group.
*Please* review this page and the page of the resin you are interested in carefully before shooting me an email. If you don't hear back from me for quite some time or not at all, I did not have time to answer your email or the answer can be found on this page or another page of this website. If you email me a photo to post on my website, it may take me a couple months to get it posted. I sincerely appreciate all my customers and their business. I enjoy hearing from you and read all your emails!
Ordering
When ordering please include
v Your first and last name. Please don't assume I know your last name.
v Your physical shipping address. If you are placing an order using the shopping cart, you may enter a different "ship to" address for a 3rd party. I will be using the address you enter on the shopping cart as the "ship to" address.
v If you do not provide me with your physical address for traditional resin shipments, this could seriously delay your shipping date. I save up traditional PO shipments so I can send several at once.
vOrders that are missing one of these things may not be processed correctly or may get shipped to the wrong address!

Time Payments
On specified resins, payments can be made for up to 60 days after your deposit is made. In special cases this may be extended, such as if you are purchasing more than one resin from me, but it must be discussed before you reserve your resin. The deposit amount will be announced at the time the resin is released. If no payment is made within the 60 days after your deposit I reserve the right to sell that resin to another person. I reserve the right to stop the time payment option at any time during the release of a resin. If you default on your agreement to complete time payments within the agreed upon time NO REFUNDS will be given of any monies you have paid towards your resin and it may be sold to another person.
Deposits
**All deposits are non-refundable. ** The deposit is due within 7 business days. If it is not received within the specified time, I will put the resin back into inventory for the next interested party.
*Important* The deposit holds your resin for 60 days. If you have not paid off your resin within 60 days after the deposit, I reserve the right to sell that resin to another person and you will not receive a refund of your deposit. This especially applies to resins that are sold out and I have your resin waiting to be paid on past the 60 days, while others are on a waiting list. Some resins will have time payments allowed for 90 days, and those will be announced at the time of their release.
Shipping
vI ship all traditional resins via UPS, insured unless you have a PO Box or are an overseas customer.
vIf you have a PO Box, please send me your physical address for traditional resins. If I have to ship your traditional resin via the PO shipping may be delayed as I hold back PO Box shipments so that I can ship several at once.
vI will not hold your package here and wait to ship it if you are not home. I ship according to my schedule and cannot be responsible for remembering when everyone will be gone or on vacation. The ONLY exception is in the case of a natural disaster, such as a hurricane.
vFor Stablemates, they will be shipped via the US Postal Service via Priority mail. I will not insure them, as the Post Office has never honored my claims. If your stablemate gets broken in route, contact me immediately.
vInsurance and tracking is NOT included in US Postal shipments, so you will need to request insurance and pay for it if you want your traditional resin insured via USPS.
vI will not track your package via the Postal Service.
vI will not replace your model for free if they break it and will not honor the claim.
OVERSEAS AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
v The Post Office has new policies regarding overseas shipping.
There are a tangled confusing mess to me right now, but I have shipped using 2 methods so far, so here is what I can tell you at this time:
vThe Default Shipping Method for all overseas packages will be as follows:
1) Default shipping method: First Class Mail International There is a 4 lb limit as well as a size limit. Insurance is NOT available for this Class. If your package is too large/heavy the next method I will use is:
2) Priority Mail International. This generally costs me about $40 to ship most models overseas. Insurance is available for this class. I am not sure of the rates and am not offering insurance at this time.
vFor stablemates, please add a flat rate of worldwide of $7 for shipping.
vI reserve the right to claim full value on any packages.
vI cannot track overseas shipments.
vOnce the box leaves my care at the Post Office, I am no longer liable for it in any way. If it is lost in transit or broken, I will not replace it.
v Due to concerns over the really high cost of shipping back and forth to the US, risk of breakage, and the much larger than expected number of overseas customers that will have a painter in the US finish their resin I will change my policy back to allowing overseas customers to have their resin shipped to a 3rd party in the US if the rules below are followed closely:
vThese are the terms in which I will ship your resin to a 3rd party:
vIf you are an overseas customer and you want it shipped in the US.
vYou need to send me the address of the person you want your resin shipped to when you order. Even if you think that I already have their address or the 3rd party is also getting the same resin. I have to record it on YOUR order, not theirs. I may not ship your resin and the 3rd party's resin together at the same time. I normally do not email to tell you when your resin has shipped, so you will need to be in contact with the 3rd party to ask them when the resin arrives. I will give general updates on my yahoo group about shipping, so you may have some idea of when they will ship, but not always.
vI am not responsible for it once it leaves me. If the 3rd party does not receive it, it is up to you and them to work it out and they will owe you for it. Since I ship via UPS in the US ( unless your 3rd party has a PO Box) then all UPS orders are tracked and I can find out where it's at. If it's shipped US Postal, it may be lost forever. So, it's best if your 3rd party has a physical address, not a PO Box.
vIf I do not have the address of the 3rd party when I am ready to ship your order, I will ship it to you. I cannot hold your resin here waiting for you to send me the address. That is why it is important that I have it right away and with your order. Please do not ask me to look up their address for your order. This takes more time for me and I will be likely to change my policy back to not shipping to 3rd parties at all.
Return Policy
All Sales Are Final
vYou have 1 week ( 7 days) after you have received your resin to inspect it and contact me if you think there is a problem. If it turns out that your resin is sticky, I will replace it. If you contact me after 7 days have passed, I will not replace your resin. I plan to test every batch of resin *that I cast*as best I know how to see if they are 'bad'. I suggest that you do the same when any horse arrives from any caster! Run a hair dryer over it for a minute and see if shiny spots appear anywhere. Then spray some primer on the horse in different areas and check it the next day to see if it's sticky. Make sure you have properly shaken the primer and not sprayed on a humid day. Please understand that a resin can go sticky at ANY TIME.....from the day after being cast to years after being cast. There is just no way of knowing or predicting what resins will present a problem in the future.
If you want a guarantee that your horse will last forever or it will be replaced--I strongly suggest that you go down and buy insurance on your resins........ Or do not buy resins any longer. I cannot give you a promise that this resin will last forever or that it will not go sticky at some later date. I am not the chemist that designed it or supplier of the raw materials that resin is made up of. Nor can I afford to be your insurance company. I will promise to do all that I can to provide you with resin that is to the best of my knowledge properly cured.
That said, the problem with resins going sticky and not curing properly is not a new one. It has been known for years within this hobby that this happens and has been dealt with in different ways. If you have a resin that goes sticky on you~ you are not the first and won't be the last. I certainly hope that it never happens to you, but if it does, remain calm and research ways to repair/ re-prep and paint your sculpture. Yahoo groups Model Horse Customizers is a good resource.
All traditional resins are hollow cast using Smooth Cast 300. Legs are re-enforced with wire. There may be flaws, and I will be repairing them with Apoxie sculpt and sanding smooth any repaired areas. If you receive a resin and you are concerned about a repaired area ( aside from the belly button!), please contact me. You have 1 week from the date you receive your model to contact me with concerns about your resin.
Show Donations
I want to support our hobby as much as I can, especially in my sparsely populated and spread out Region: Region 1. So, if you are holding a NAN approved show in Region 1, I will most likely donate something~ probably an unpainted resin. You will need to give me a few months notice, and I may not be able to tell you exactly what resin I can donate at the time you contact me. If you are in another Region, the likelihood that I can donate is pretty small, as my first commitment is to my own Region. :) Thanks!
My Inspiration
I want to clearly state without exception my sculptures are in no way intended to copy another person's work. They are from my own imagination and stems from the inspiration I get from the beauty of horses~ weather through real life, photos, videos, paintings, etc. I realize that some of them may be similar to other sculptures in the hobby.
POSTING ADS FOR CUSTOMERS
Please do not email and ask me to post your advertisement/sales resin to my Yahoo Group. I recommend the MH$P, HaynetExchange and ModelHorse Exchange for advertising. I reserve the right to post ads for customers or those I am doing business with as I see fit.
Customizing/Resculpting
I allow resculpting and customizing of all of my resins. Knock yourself out! Please claim the work as your own, and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES REPRODUCE YOUR CM PIECE.
Sold Out Resins-How I sell them
I will announce the resin's release on Tabaskeau Studio News. At that time, members can go the my website to place an order through the shopping cart. When a resin is SOLD OUT that means I am no longer accepting customer orders. This number may or may not include any artist copies that I want to keep for myself. Any castings not reserved by/sold to customers then become my private reserve. I reserve the right to sell these 'private reserve' resins however I wish.
Trades
I have many people ask me if I will take partial trades for other models. I do occasionally make a trade.. (If I accepted all these offers, I'd have a lots of models and no money! :) If you want to trade please see my Wanted/Trade list. Generally, those are the only artists/resins that I am interested in. Thank you !
